Ideologies Part #2 -
"A feeble logic, whose finger beckons us to the dark spectacle of the Stalinist Soviet union, affirms the bankruptcy of Bolshevism, followed by that of Marxism, followed by that of Socialism.... Have you forgotten the other bankruptcies? What was Christianity doing in the various catastrophes of the society? What became of Liberalism? What has Conservatism produced, in either its enlightened or reactionary form? If we are indeed honestly to weigh out the bankruptcies of ideology, we shall have a long task ahead of us.. And nothing is finished yet." Victor Serge, 1947

A Brief Note on Ideology
Ideologies tend to be narrow, over simplistic, absolutist and harmfully exclusionary. Ideologies and idealogues have been too frequently used to subvert openness and reject diversity therefore harming resiliency and multiplicity- the very qualities that nourish life in any system, period.
We embrace morals and ethics with a dash of relativism and a healthy eye toward context while working toward maintaining a clear perspective. We relish creating, utilizing and continuously improving our mission, vision and values.
We reject ideologies and their fruits and identify them as restrictions/constrictions on free thinking, mindful awareness, response-ability and impediments to compassionate action.
