Opening note to my readers:

Firstly, thank you, the readers, for investing the time in this project.
Needless to say that the last nine months have been busy for everyone, and I am no exception.
With two books, a non-profit think tank, a small business consultancy, a transparency in government web-site, and the creation of a global trade aggregator all in the works, the next several years look bright, bold, and very busy.
Not POTUS busy, but still very involved.
The ongoing effort (just like anyone else) to be a responsible dad, quality partner, and good friend simultaneous to all this, has really led me to the conclusion that all of the active laziness I've been participating in, via 12 different social network projects/sites, was a poor use of my time. So I'm taking everything down, save this blog and twitter.
I frankly was not entirely certain that I wanted to bother adding my voice to the cacophony of absurd, entitlement generation, needing to be heard, baseless nonsense that has evolved into this thing called blogging. I don't believe that I need a public voice or that I'm unique in anyway. My parents, (praise their hearts) never told me that my every poop was special or a work of art as most modern parents now seem to think is proper. And I am better for it.
The reason why I'm doing this is that I've been asked to. My friends and loved one's have asked me to share my views on issues, heavy and light. So make no mistake, when they say that this little project has to go, it will.
Until then, I hope that you enjoy my writing and that it frustrates you, makes you think, or sometimes makes you laugh (even though I have terrible joke brain). Maybe all of these things together.
As a disclaimer, I am not responsible for any broken computers, any fights that arise from discussion of my comments, or any stomach disorders that are due to my words. If you are inspired to do something great or small that helps the world or the people in it, well, I don't want credit for that either. I can barely muster enough responsibility to take care of the nonsense I've already sown.
Much love and respect to my readers. Thank you again.
Respy,
Ed
